Birth of the Homunculii -Pen and Ink- 1995
This is one of the drawings that I did for University. The original was stolen six to eight hours after I had placed it on display.
This represents the alchemical procedure of creating a homunculus, or a 'little man'. The alchemist would accomplish this by placing human semen and menstrual blood into a test tube, sealing it with wax and keeping it warm with fresh animal dung. According to Paracelus, this should produce a tiny, soulless human-like creature that will obey the will of it's Master.
